Q #1. Hey, I'm 15 yrs old and last night I was at the computer working on homework and something really strange happened... my dog started whining and scratching at my door... the problem is, my dog has been dead for the past 4 months and that's the second time she's done that in the past month. Earlier that day my mom and I could both smell new urine on our basement carpet. (When my dog was older she had a urination problem.) I really don't know what to do about it... I've been alone in rooms... but I feel like I'm being watched.
I know this sounds really crazy... but I've tried getting pics of her. Trying to attract her by putting stuff like treats, her collar, and her leash on the floor and then taking pictures of them... expecting something to be next to them. But nothing has happened. Do you have any suggestions? I really don't mind if she's still here, but I've never heard of ghost dogs.

Q #2.   i know you probably get this alot but accople of years ago my dog judha was killed by a car. Just last month on teh date he died i felt his presence with me, My cat was going hystarical. She seemed to know what was going on. so i showed a picture and she when to a really cold spot in the room. It soon became warm and almost seemed to follow me around the house. My house is really really onld on top of it so could u cive me a little clue pleeez!

A. Hi Erin and Sara,
Yes, I've heard of ghost dogs!  My friend had a dog named Ziggy who would be put down in the cellar when the family when out somewhere.  After Ziggy died my friend says he can still hear Ziggy whining and scratching at the cellar door from time to time.  Getting a picture of your dog will be pretty hard.  We in the South Jersey Ghost Research try all the time to get ghost pictures, but most of our pictures show nothing unusual.  You might try turning the lights off and using a digital camera with a flash,  just be sure to have a flashlight on you so you don't trip over something, it's also best to have someone else with you.  If you get picture with what looks like a little orb of light, it's possible that that is the energy your dog is using to be there.   I hope this helps you out, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Q. None of my friends believe in ghosts ! But I do.

When my family was in St. Augustine, my family and I were going on a carriage tour and our tour guide let me drive the carriage down the most haunted street in America, while
I was driving I saw a man in spanish clothing go though a wall and the wall had no door. The very weird thing about it was none of my family saw him. Did I see a ghost?

A. Hi Jon,
It's very likely you did see a ghost, especially on that street!  The ghost you saw probably walked into a door that used to be there when he was still alive.  Ghosts can be anywhere, but you don't have to be afraid of them, they won't hurt you.  I think you were very lucky to have seen him, I bet your family wishes they did!

Q. How Can You Get A Ghost To Talk To You, Get One To Live With You, Or Show You How It Looks And To Be Your Best Friend?

A. Hi Louis,
You really can't make a ghost do any of the things you want.  They have to decide to do that on their own.  I investigate ghosts with the South Jersey Ghost Research and I wish I could make them talk to me and show themselves too!  Unfortunately, most of the time they don't.  So I guess you and I want pretty much the same thing!  Hope this helps you and thanks for writing!

I think ghosts are pretty cool too!  I'm sure your poppa is watching out for you, every minute of every day.  I don't really know how to find out if he is trying to contact you, but maybe there are times when you can just feel him around you, when it seems like he is right there with you.  I bet you it's then that he is closest, sending extra love your way.  I hope this answers your question, and if you have any more feel free to ask!

No, I don't think you're making any ghosts mad.  Sometimes weird things happen to us, but they have nothing to do with ghosts.  Also think about this...I do research on ghosts every week, if ghosts got mad about that, weird things would happen to me all the time!  So relax, there aren't any ghosts getting mad at you and have fun with your research!

Q.  Hello my name is Katie and I was wournding if you could help me. see I have to wright a papper on local ghost stories. And i just  heard on about my church. How can i tell if there really is a ghost. Things go missing for months at a time then all of a sudden they turn up right where they belong. Also my church is over 150 years old so there is a cematery and some people are burried in the walls. Well in the room where some of the people are burried when you go into the room and close the door it locks you in and then it gets cold. Now thoses locks keep getting replaced but it keeps happening. Plus, a preist was murred there in the chaple and when we have lockins we here the organ playing but no one is there. do you think there might be a REAL ghost? pleas help.

A.  Hi Katie,
There sure are some strange things happening in your church, and it very well might be a ghost.  Ghosts will move things around and it often gets cold in a room where they are.  So if you want my guess, you probably have a real ghost there.  Maybe you can get a local ghost hunting group to investigate it and do your paper on what they find.  You might also ask any friends you might have who go to that church if they know any ghost stories about it.  Hope this helps you with your paper.
