A. A zombie is a dead body that comes back to life usually by some kind of spell or ritual. In the movies you will see often them looking really scary, sometimes even missing some skin or body parts! Although they are nasty-looking things, they are not real, so you don't have to worry about ever meeting one. (except maybe at a Halloween party!)

Q. hey my name is raine. my ?'s is that some times i hear voices and see peoplz in my head and they will talk to me. well i want to know if i have to go see a therapist(sorry about the spelling i am not so good in that subject) or am i just like i dont know? is it normal and r they ghosts or just my imagination?oh and also i want to know if this is just my imagination again or is it like a screw up with the t.v. ok well i used to share a room with my sister and well we had this t.v. in it too.ok well one time i was watching t.v. and then i went downstairs and i had turned the t.v. off. when i came back upstairs it was back on and on a different station. that has happend like 5 times after that incident. i told ma dad about it and he says that it is just the t.v. well it has been like 2-3 years and we still have the t.v. and it doesnt do that anymore so i want to know if that couldv'e been a ghost or just my imagination running away with me. thnx for taking time to look at my ?'s i really appricitate it thnx again!!!

A. You may be sensitive to spirits. Some have spirits communicate with them in the way you are describing. this doesn't mean you are crazy or need therapy, but you seem to be worrying about it. If what you are experiencing is bothering you I suggest you talk to your parents or if you can't talk to them I am sure there is someone you trust who you can talk to. A. Different people perceive paranormal phenomena in different ways. Some people see ghosts. Some hear ghosts. Others sense emotions or energy. it is quits possible that the sound you heard was a ghost, but it could also be something else. It could be someone in another room or someone outside your house that you are hearing. If the only unusual thing going on is the sound, I don't think your house is haunted.

Q. Hi, My name is Derek. I was reading your "why are they here" section in your questions and answers and I noticed you put down as one of the reasons as being "because they don't know that they are dead" but how is it that a ghost would not know its dead. It just seems like under the circumstances that the ghost would be under it would put two and two together and figure that not everything is like it use to be. So can you explain to me how it would not know its dead? Thanks

A. Hi Derek,

You seem like a smart kid to be asking such a good question. I'll try to explain what my own theory about this is.

Sometimes a person may die quickly, like in car accident. Sometimes a person may die accidentally, like in a drug overdose where they didn't mean to kill themselves.

I feel that in cases like these, it's possible that the spirit may not realize right away what has happened. The spirit may only be confused for a very short time.  It may be somewhat like when  you are in  a deep sleep in the middle of the night and a loud noise wakes you up. You may be disoriented at first. It may only last  for a minute or two.

I'm not sure that spirits have a sense of time. You  have heard people talk about a pet's age in "dog years".  And maybe you have read in the bible that God created the earth in 7 days although we don't know how long the first day actually would have been.  Well the few minutes it takes for a spirit to realize what is happening to it could quite possibly be a few moments to them but a bit longer in earth time! Nobody knows what time is like in other planes of existence. A spirit thinking he is still alive for a few minutes may actually be stuck in here in our plane of existence for days, weeks or even years!

Q. Hi. Let me tell you a little about myself first. I am 15 years old turning 16 in a couple months and i have a few questions that i was wondering if you could answer for me. I have had some experences myself and i want to have more and even one day help put people at ease with theres. I want to become a ghost hunter sort a speak. A. Hi Kristy, You could start off by reading. That's how I started. I, like you, have always been interested in the subject or ghosts and ghost hunting. I read all about it and also read booka about places near me that were haunted. I didn't go out to cemeteries or abandoned buildings rumores to be haunted, but asked my parents to go with me tio some historic places and buildings to see what I could feel. You cas start to take photos and maybe even some EMF readings if you are really that interested. You can get an EMF detector for less than $15.00 on line.  read all you can now, and when you are 18 you can start looking into joing a group.

Q. dear, ghosthunter my friend says her house is haunted and that late at night when she's in bed she say's her closet door opens by itself and a dark figure comes and sits by her bed.I was wondering if you could help. sincerely,Bernadine

A. It doesn't matter if the color was dark or white or multicolor. Many people think a dark or black shadowy figure is always something bad. I would tell your friend not to worry. It may even be a relative coming to watch over her. If the spirit isn't bothering her she doesn't have to worry about it. If she doesn't like it being there she could just ask it to leave.

Q. Hi my name is Devon. When I go to my Grandmom's house we hear weird noises and see weird images. Sometimes I feel like someone is watching me (my aunt who lives there aslo sometimes feel like that too.) My aunt Debbie thinks when she was pregnant a ghost watched over her (like a family member who passed away.) It gets very scary there. Do you think the house is haunted?

A. It's very possible it is a family member! I heard many stories about family members coming back to visit when there is a new baby in the family! Please don't be afraid. It sounds like whoever is there is just keeping watch over you and your family.
