Q. How do you find out all of this stuff about the ghost what tools that you use what do you call them?

A. You can learn all about the tools we use and what we call them on the Ghosthunting Tools area of the SJGR Kids Club web page.  Here's a picture of us using one of our tools to help get a photo of a spirit. There was a reading on the EMF meter in the investigator's hand. That told us there may be a spirit present. I took this photo while the light on the EMF meter was flashing.
 

A. You had a ghost in your car? Next time you see him ask for his drivers license. It would be neat to see how old he is:-) Just kidding. This proves what I always say...ghosts can be anywhere!

Q. Since I could remember and I'm 13 now, I have had a fear of being tickled.  Why you ask. It's because I would come about halfway out of sleep and be  unable to move. I could see my room without actually opening my eyes ad when  this spirit started to tickle me with what seemed to be a million finger, I  couldn't stop it. Eventually, I started to develop a mental warning to help  me wake up completely. In one dream, I heard an eerie music. I knew it was
coming. I convinced myself that if everyone in the room jumped on the bed, I  would awake. It worked. I shot up, and I saw it. It looked like a  shadow,which was extremely black, of a pokemon, Genger. If your not familiar  with these fictional creatures, looking this one up would give you an almost  identical twin. Do you have any idea what this is?

A. Yes, I know who Gengar is:-) (I think jigglypuff is much cuter though!)
Anyhow, What you are experiencing is called Sleep Paralysis or sometimes called Old Hag Syndrome. If you look on web page where it says "your mail answered" this is explained in one of the answers. I think it's on the first page of email. There is alot of info about it on the web also. If you need more help or wast to talk more about it just email me again:-)

Q. Hello!  I am a high school student interested in becoming a ghost hunter, and I foud your website extremelly helpful.  I have a couple of questions, however.  I am absolutly fascinated by ghosts, but everytime I encounter one, I become very scared (I stayed in a haunted hotel once, and the footsteps and moving noises startled me into holding my eyes shut very tight).  Is this normal for a beginner, or am I just a little paranoid?  Thanks for your advice!!

A. It's perfectly normal for a beginner. In fact some of us who have been doing this for years still get scared once in a while!! Just remember that a ghost won't hurt you and there is no need to run away. After a while you will not be scared in the same way. it will be more like being startled or surprised when you see one.

Q. Hey, my name is Kim...I had a couple of questions I'd like to ask you.  First of all, do all dead people turn into ghosts? Also, once a person (err well dead person) turns into a ghost are they a ghost forever, or do they stop being a ghost after a while. I don't want to turn into a ghost!! Is there any way to prevent yourself from being an unhappy ghost for the rest of eternity!? I have kind of a stupid story which is probably just me being paranoid, but one day when my family and my friends family were on vacation in New York state, we were having a race sort of to see which group of kids could get home faster. Me and my friend'! s little sister were walking along the sidewalk (and it was a REALLY REALLY hot day) when all of a sudden I walked through this REALLY cold spot. I mean it was really, really, cold. I was really freaked out, but i just stood there and then all of a sudden it felt like the cold spot like walked away, and then it was hot again!! Am I just a loser who is terrified of ghosts, or was that really a ghost? Anyway,thank you so much! You are so awesome! I am way too scared of ghosts to go ghosthunting or anything, but I admire you so much for doing it! I really hope that this goes on your website!!      Thanks again,

A.  Geez, Kim...you stumped me! I don't know how to prevent yourself from being an unhappy ghost forever! My guess would be if you live an honest life and are good to everyone around you, you will be ok after you die. Maybe some ghosts are unhappy because they did things if life they are sorry for but it's too late to change them. To answer your question about being a ghost forever, that depends on what you believe. Of course your body will stay dead after you die, but some people believe that the spirit can come back again into another body and they they can do this over and over again. This is called reincarnation. Sometimes you may hear people talking about their "past lives". They are talking about the last time their spirit was on earth. Maybe they lived in a different country than they do in this life or were of the opposite sex. Not all people believe in reincarnation. Some religions teach that it it true and some say a soul is only in earth one time and then moves on to a better place. The cold spot you felt was similar to the ones we sometimes feel on our investigations. They sometimes move around and sometimes don't. it's pretty common to be able to follow a cold spot around a room with an infrared thermal scanner and take pictures of it. Many times we get positive photos when following a cold spot.

A.   When I talk about ghosts and spirits on the web page I  am referring to human spirits. There are other types of spirits that are not human. Theres are entities that are not the spirits of people. Sometimes these non-human spirits will play tricks on people. For exapmle, if you are calling on the spirit of your grandmother or other relative, a non-human spirit may answer and pretend to be your granny.  Human spirits will move objects around. They will sometimes knock things off shelves, knock pictures off walls, throw light items such as glasses, figurines and the like. When you see a four hundred pound freezer go sailing across the room, it is a good bet that you have a non-human spirit at work. A human spirit may take something like the book you were just reading and hide it elsewhere. When your washer and drier disappear, you should think about a non-human. Human spirits may visually manifest in the form of bright lights, arcs of electricity or as they appeared in life. They may be translucent or they may be as solid as you or I. If you see a creature with a goat’s head, a human torso and a horse’s legs, it might be a good idea to rule out the human guy. Once you  get involved with a non-human spirit you will have a very hard time getting rid of it. It is extremely rare that you will ever run into one of these spirits by accident...even less than your chances of getting attacked by a shark at the beach. My advice to you is NEVER EVER try to call on spirits by using a ouija board, seance, or any other ritual. Doing so will greatly increase your chances of meeting up with one and possibly getting hurt.

A. I am sure you didn't see a demon in your school. Demons are really really rare and schools are not one of the places demons like to hang around in.
