Q Do u believe in ghost ? BOO LOL Greg and Connie


A. Yes, I believe in ghosts! Though I've never seen one (my son has), I've seen and heard a lot of things that I'm sure a ghost did. People have been seeing ghosts for thousands of years and I bet you can get a ghost story from any town you visit. Every country has it's own ghost folklore and even the American Indians have stories of ghosts and hauntings. I know not everyone believes in ghosts, but I sure do! (boo to you too!)

Q. Hi you may remember me. I'm sonjia. I'm 15 1/2 now. I'm still a little scared of places that are haunted. I was reading ur page on Ghosts that follow. Well i have a ghost that follows me. I believe it's the same one that i met at my friends party. I remember him saying " I shall always be with you." Well lately i've been having really weird and odd eerie feelings. I can't see ghosts but i can sense them. This year i met a friend that can see them. well the two of us have been getting i don't if u could say request but the spirits are trying to get us to do something help them with something. I'm not totally sure what it is. But a few months ago. i came to school really weirded out. I couldn't concentrate on anything. My friend, Andrew, who sees the ghosts noticed that i was a little freaked. I didn't feel good all that day. Well in class he got bored and drew what he was feeling. I believe the picture he drew was of the earth and the spirit realm. The spirits sort of i guess in a way gave him that picture. He came out of class saying that we needed to do something. That it was up to him and the protected one. He said that they were really protective over me. Can spirits be that way? Protective of one person? Anyhow my protector i like to call him now days and a few of his friends were aruging with something and i heard them say something "like stop we have to leave her alone. she's going to go crazy.. Leave her be let her do her work." Well the next day i was okay. Andrew however drew another picture this one was a map to the spirit realm given to him by the spirits. That day we moved sets in my Spanish class and his is right next door to mine. When we moved i sat near the wall that was closest to his class room and got a cold chill and a very eerie feeling which i didn't get on the other side of my class room. That day when we got out he said that he saw a spirit in his spanish class. Well that we was just a little weird. Then one day we were standing outside and i was leaning up against the wall under the painted Sonora (name of our highschool) and i got a cold chill so i steped way and Andrew said that there was face looking down and me so i moved to lean against the tree and he saw it again. I just stood in one place until my dad came to get me. Things died down there after a while. Then Friday 3/5/04 we had Sadie Hawkens. Andrew kept seeing a shadow of a man with his hand cut off and the other in that shape of a hoff, is how he described it. Well while i was dancing i kept turning around to look behind me and around me. Getting those weird vibes. Well after a little dancing my friend had to go to the bathroom so i went with her. While i was in the bath room i got this weird i couldn't breath spell i didn't pay much attention to it cause i thought it might be my asthma acting up cause i was dancing really hard. But i had it again and this time i totally went out of focus to what was around me and i had to be snaped out of it. Then i started getting headaches. While my friend went home and Andrew and i were left at the dance. I hadn't danced in a while and i got that i can't breath being pulled out of focus again this time i knew it couldn't be my asthma so was something trying to tell me something? Andrew had to snap me out of it. It happened twice in a row. After that we both got the eerie vibes and descided to leave. All weekend i felt like i was being followed and it was starting to scare me. Well i went to school and told my friend and he saw spirit above me. It changed into a butterfly but didn't really bother me the rest of the day. And i'm not sure if u answer dream question but on two occasion i've felt like i was in someone elses dream. Eerie ones two exspecial one i had the other night of slave working at smashing something that got blood all over them but before i could see what it was i woke my self up. What does this all mean? I'm starting to think something really bad is coming but i don't know what. I'm getting a little unnerved scared to say the least. Well thanks again for listening.

A. Relax Sonjia, everyone has weird dreams now and then and it doesn't mean something bad's about to happen. Take it from me, I have a LOT of weird dreams! You asked if spirits can be protective of one person, the answer's yes! Definitely! Especially if it's the spirit of a loved one. The spirit would be like a guardian angel to you. Now, as far as your breathing goes, and having to be snapped out of it by your friend, I really think you should tell your parents about that and they should let you be examined by a doctor to make sure you're physically OK. Please do that, OK?

A. Well sometimes they're trying to get your attention, other times they may be trying to tell you something, but I bet most of the time they don't even know or care they're making noises.

Q. hi my name is chloe im 14 and live in england, ive always been facinated in ghosts and always believed they are real even though i havent seen or felt one. i believe ghosts are spirits that haunt the earth because on earth there is another world an *unseen* world maybe heaven or hell my friends think im crazy but they dont see things like i do. i wondered what sort of careers they are in looking for ghosts. ive heard about a house called rose red in america and wondered if the house was real is it? anyway please reply! from chloe bye
A. That's an interesting idea you have about another "unseen" world around us. I've had ideas like that myself. I feel, though, that most ghosts we encounter are those who have unfinished business here on earth, or they're confused and don't know they're dead, or they're afraid to move on because of something they did while still alive. You also mentioned careers in ghost hunting? Well there are those who do it professionally and get paid for their services. One man I met last August named John Zaffis has been ghost hunting professionally for years. As far as Rose Red goes....as far as I know, it's not real. It's a book and a movie written by Stephen King.

Q. Anne-I think I may have a ghost or two following me around, and I also think I may have one in my room, but I'm not quite certain. Sometimes I'll feel my hair moving, or I'll just feel something in my hair, and when I turn around, no one is there. When I put my hand on my head, there's nothing there either. In my room at night, I'll see the extremely faint face of a woman just floating in the air, (it's sort of greenish, so I could just be seeing things in the dark...) and the name Georgia Anne always pops into my head. My clock radio turned itself off in the middle of the night once, and one night, something extremely scary happened.I was sitting in bed drawing pictures and doing my homework a little after midnight. No one was up-I questioned my entire family the next day. Anyways, I heard someone knocking softly at my door. I called out 'hello?' but no one answered, and the knocking on my door persited. (It was very even tapping, not like a dog scratching, which was my first thought, since we have a small terrier) They knocked about 20 times, and then it stopped. After that, I'm sure I heard a door close. I went out into the hall a few minutes later, but no one was there. What do you make of all this? Am I going crazy, or do I really have ghosts?? A. It sounds like there might be a ghost there Abbey. But I'm wondering, is there any chance a brother or sister was knocking on your door just to scare you? The other things you've seen and felt sure sound like a ghost is around, you're definitely not going crazy. It could be you're seeing the ghost of a woman named Georgia Anne who once lived in the house or in the area. It's possible she's trying to get your attention by touching your hair and messing with your alarm clock. Maybe you can check on the history of your house and neighborhood and see if someone with that name once lived there. If there was you might be able to find out about her life (and death) and how you can help her move on.

Q HI, MY QUESTION IS IF YOU'R AFRAID I MEAN MAJOR FREAKED OUT HOW DO YOU ASK A GHOST TO LEAVE?

A. The best way to ask a ghost to leave is the same way you ask anyone who's alive to leave...just say something like, "This is MY house and I'd like you to leave now." Remember, a ghost is still a person, so be nice and more often than not, the ghost will leave. Wouldn't you go home if a friend told you nicely it was time for you to leave?

A. Well there could be a ghost William, but I kind of doubt it. Maybe the door wasn't pulled all the way shut and the wind blew it open, or maybe someone else has a key to the house and forgot to lock up when they left. It doesn't sound like there's anything ghostly going on there. Also, there's no reason to feel paranoid about the house, even if a man did die there, it doesn't mean he's going to haunt the place. Most likely he moved on to the next world like most people do when they die. Relax!....and thanks for writing!

Q. Hello, my name is Jake and I am a 13 year old boy living in Northern Jersey. About two years ago I was down in Long Beach Island. Me and a couple of friends went to a beach called Ghost Beach by the locals. When we got on the beach we saw black shadows moving at the edge of the water. The shadows would advance towards us and get closer and closer. The weird thing is, no one was casting the shadows, they just floated past us. As we walked further down the beach, we saw two men fishing. They said they were deep sea fishing yet their lines were in shallow water. They were frightening in a way. After this we decided to leave. On the way back to the car, a shed with a green light caught our eye. Every step we would take, the light would flicker more and more. One of my friends, Mike, opened the door. The light suddenly went off and a whistling sound was audible. Thats my story. Can you please tell me what's happening?

Q. That's a pretty wild story Jake. Are you sure it's for real? Well, assuming it is...

You don't say what time of day it was when you were by the beach and saw the shadows, so I can't really say too much about them. The fishermen were probably kidding with you because it can get pretty boring sitting around waiting for a fish to bite. The light in the green shed was probably burning out, and coincidentally, when your reached it, it burned out. The whistling sound could have been a bird, or someone whistling, or the squeeky hinges of an old shed. By the way...you shouldn't be opening sheds that don't belong to you!
