Terra Cotta Ghost
	You will need: 2” Terra Cotta Clay Pot 1 1/2” Wooden Ball Head White Fun Foam White Paint Black Permanent Marker Clear Acrylic Sealer Hot Glue Gun
Remove terra cotta dust and dirt from the clay pot using a damp cloth and let dry completely. Turn the pot upside-down and paint the pot white. Paint the wooden ball white. Set both aside to dry. Draw eyes and mouth on the ghost head using the black marker and glue onto the pot. Once all glue and paint is dry, spray with acrylic sealer. Cut (2) ghost arms from the white fun foam and glue them to the side of the pot.
Cool Whip Lid/Grocery Sack Ghost
	What You Need: Cool Whip Lid or other similar sheer white lid 3 Black Paper circles (eyes & mouth) 2 sheer white plastic grocery sacks 2 white pipe cleaners (chenille stem) Scotch tape Glue stick Black yarn Hole punch
Here's a fun ghost project that's inexpensive...uses primarily recycled household items...and you will just love how they "fly". It will appear as though you are being "chased" by a little ghost! This project is easy and fun to do. How To Make It: Glue eyes and mouth on front of lid. Cut off any writing or graphics, and handles from grocery sacks. Lay the sacks on a flat surface. With scissors, shred 2" strips up sacks leaving at least 1" area intact next to the seam. Glue the pipe cleaner/chenille stem into the seam. Turn lid over on flat surface. Bend and insert the pipe cleaner/seam into the ridge around the bottom 1/2 of the lid. Tape to secure in place. Repeat with the 2nd sack and stem, and insert in the ridge around the upper 1/2 of the lid. Punch a hole through top of the lid. Thread a length of yarn through the hole appropriate for hanging. You may like to have a loop on the end of a 1 1/2' length so you could hold on and run with them.
Ghost Antenna Buddy
	What You Need White craft foam Scissors Pen 2 Wiggle Eyes Hot glue gun or low temp glue gun Hole punch Glitter paint, optional
This project made up in only a few minutes. I would recommend this only for city driving as it hasn't been tested for durability on highway driving. This project is very easy to do. How To Make It Draw the outline of a ghost on the white craft foam. Cut out. Glue two eyes on ghost. Hole punch 3 holes down the middle of the ghost (you may have to scrunch the foam inside the punch to make it align). If desired, you can run a bead of glitter paint around the edges of the ghost to make it glittery. Place on your antenna by weaving back and forth through the holes. Your ghost should be low on the antenna close to your car.
Windsock Ghost
	You need: Two 9"x 12" White Craft Foam 1/2 Piece Black Craft Foam Glue Hole Punch Stapler or Brass Fasteners White String White Plastic Bag (you can use half of a tall kitchen bag)
Instructions: Cut a plastic bag into 1" to 2" strips. Cut a ghostly face out of black craft foam. Glue it to the middle of one piece of white craft foam. Turn foam face upside down and glue strips of plastic bag all along the bottom edge of both pieces of foam. Staple or fasten sides of foam together to make into the ghost head. Punch a hole in each side. Add a string to hang.
Cheesecloth Ghost
	What you need: 1 package of cheesecloth Fabric Stiffener Plastic bag or bowl Plastic Soda/Water Bottle 3” Styrofoam Ball or 2 pieces of 20 gauge floral wire Masking Tape Plastic Wrap 2 –20 mm Moving Eyes Optional: Plastic spiders, bugs etc.
Tape the Styrofoam ball to the top of the bottle cap. Or form a ball from scratch paper and tape to the bottle cap. Wrap one end of the floral wire around the neck of the bottle. Bend in the other end and shape wire as desired for arms. Repeat with the other wire on the other side for the other arm. This is your ghost frame. Drape the ghost frame figure in plastic wrap. Cut cheesecloth into strips double the height of your ghost frame and about 1½” x 2” wide. There are two methods to covering the cheesecloth strips with fabric stiffener. You can pour fabric stiffener in a bowl and dip strips in the liquid. Or a less messy way is to place fabric stiffener and cheesecloth strips into a plastic bag. You can work the stiffener into the cheesecloth from outside of the bag. When cheesecloth is completely covered with fabric stiffener, place strips over the plastic covered ghost frame. Place your strips at different angles to add more detailed interest to your ghost. Continue adding strips until the ghost frame is completely covered. Set aside to dry. When the ghost is completely dry, remove from the plastic covered frame. Cheesecloth should be stiff and be able to stand alone. Glue on the two moving eyes. For added detail, glue on small spiders and bugs onto the ghost. Display on a table top with spider webs or attach a hanger and hang from the ceiling.
Friendly Neighborhood Ghost
Download Pattern	STYROFOAM* Brand Products: 1 Cone, 12" 1 Ball, 3" Melon baller or sharp spoon 1- 1/4" Wooden dowel, 10" long 1- 2/3 yd. of white cotton fabric Utility knife Sandpaper Black felt, scrap Blush 12" ribbon (optional) Thick, white craft glue
1. Using melon baller or sharp spoon, hollow out 1" hole in foam ball. Twist ball onto top of cone until it fits snugly. Glue in place. 2. Cut dowel into two 5" lengths for arms. Whittle one end of each dowel to a point that can be pushed into cone; sand other end to a smooth point. 3. Following pattern, cut ghost body and arms from white fabric. Sew the body section together using 1/4" seam; trim seam and turn right side out. With seam in back, slip over top of cone and ball, pulling fabric down until it fits snugly over the ball. Fold 1/2" of fabric onto bottom of cone and pin or glue in place; trim excess fabric. Fabric should fit loosely on the cone. 4. Snip a tiny hole in fabric on each side of cone right under the ball head; this is where the dowel arms will be inserted. Push pointed end of dowels through holes and insert 3/4" into cone. 5. Run a thin line of glue along arms; drape the sleeves over the arms. Lightly glue the front and back together at the bottom of the sleeves; it's a little spookier if the front and back are not glued together tightly. 6. Cut mouth and eyes from felt, glue to face. Lightly blush cheeks. 7. Tie ribbon in bow and glue to neck (optional).
Footprint Ghost
	Materials needed for this cute footprint ghost are: Black construction paper Black marker or paint White tempra or poster paint Large ice cream container lid Sponge paintbrush A foot!
If you fold the construction paper in half prior to printing, you can make some really cute halloween cards this way -- use gold or silver gel pens to write Happy Halloween on the front and a message inside! Instructions: {ut a piece of dark paper down on the floor (you may want to cover a small area with newspaper to keep things clean. Spread white paint in a thin layer on a large ice cream container lid and dip your foot in. Roll your foot inward to get paint on your instep as well (TIP: put your knees together while keeping ypur feet on the floor). OR use a sponge paintbrush (about 25 cents each at your local hardware or craft store) to spread some white paint onto your foot Step onto the dark paper. Again, roll your foot inward so your instep stamps too (otherwise your ghost's body will have a bit of a blank spot in the middle) Let paint dry (while cleaning up) Use black marker or paint to blob on two eyes and a mouth.
Foam Ghost
	Sketch some simple ghostly figures on paper. Use these as patterns for cutting ghosts from sheets of white packing foam (available at packing or moving supply stores). Be sure to cut out spectral eyes and a mouth. Put the ghosts in windows using clear tape, or tie fishing line to the tops of a few and hang them from tree branches, a front porch or inside from your ceilings.
Another Ghostly Windsock
	You need: STYROFOAM 1 Sheet, 1" x 12" x 18" Acrylic paint, black 1 yd. of white cotton fabric 24" of black ribbon or string (for hanger) Sharp pencil Serrated knife or utility knife with sharp blade Wooden skewer, knitting needle or other tool with sharp point
1. Pin pattern onto foam sheet; trace around pattern with pencil. Cut out ghost with serrated knife or utility knife. It's easier to cut out each hand first, and then cut around individual fingers. (Hint: For smoother cuts, wax the knife blade with an old candle.) 2. Paint on face with black paint. 3. Cut or tear seven 3" wide fabric strips. Gather top of each strip in your fingers, and then use skewer or knitting needle to push strips into bottom edge of ghost. For extra holding power, place a dot of glue on fabric end before inserting in foam. 4. To add hanger, tie a knot in one end of ribbon or string, add a dab of glue, and push knot into top edge of ghost's head. 5. Hang ghost where a breeze will ruffle the fabric strips.
